TITLE:                          TITLE I RESOURCE TEACHER

 

QUALIFICATIONS:       1.         Bachelor’s degree or higher with certification in elementary or middle school education.

 

2.         At least five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience in elementary or middle school grades.

 

POSITION GOALS:       1.         To provide assistance in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the project/plan guidelines and program regulators.

 

2.         To work successfully with district staff, principals, classroom teachers, students, parents and community agencies.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.         Assist with planning, implementing and evaluating the Title I program through collaborative and cooperative efforts with the program supervisor, principals, teachers, aides and parents in Title I schools.

 

2.         Assist with program monitoring to ensure that district, state and federal guidelines are met.

 

3.         Work cooperatively with Title I teachers, aides and parents to facilitate the achievement of the objectives of the program.

 

4.         Assist with inservice education for Title I teachers, aides and parents.

 

5.         Assist with collecting, analyzing and publishing data related to student and parent participation in the Title I program.

 

6.         Assist in the preparation of grants, budgets and reports required at the district and state levels.

 

7.         Perform other related duties as assigned by the program supervisor.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:      Ten months, Paygrade as established by the School Board in current Salary Schedule 1

 

EVALUATION:              Evaluated annually in accordance with School Board’s policies on evaluation of instructional personnel.
