TITLE:                         Web Technician

 

QUALIFICATIONS:               1.         Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and ASP

2.         Experience with common Web authoring and graphic design tools (e.g., Front Page, Photoshop)

3.         Knowledge of Windows NT operating system

4.         Working knowledge of computer equipment, network cabling and basic technical troubleshooting

 

REPORTS TO:                        As assigned on organizational chart

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.         Develop and maintain online resources for department Web sites.

2.         Assist with maintenance of designated databases.

3.         Establish and maintain inventory of department hardware  and software.

4.         Assist with maintenance of department computers and other technical equipment.

5.         Assist with installation and upgrades of hardware and software.

6.         Provide training to site personnel as required.

7.         Perform other duties as assigned by the designated supervisor.

8.         As a professional, the successful candidate will be expected to continue their education to stay atop of new technologies related to the project.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:            Twelve months, Salary Schedule 6

Paygrade as established by the School Board in current salary schedule

 

EVALUATION:          Performance evaluated annually in accordance with the Board’s policy on evaluation of administrative personnel.

 

All grant positions end at the conclusion of funding.
